Live Bidding

This is where you can bid live on the internet at the next auction at very reasonable rates (additional live fee of just 3% of the hammer price plus VAT). To do this, you must log in as a registered customer and then register for the live bidding of the upcoming auction. You will receive our confirmation email with further information. On the day of the auction you can log in here and bid live. The function will be activated no later than 30 minutes before the auction starts.

How Live Bidding works

Live Bidding Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply in addition to the auction terms and conditions.
2. The premium for winning bids in live bidding is 28.56% (24% of the hammer price plus 19% VAT).
3. Separate registration and activation by the auction house is required for live bidding. Registration should take place at least 2 hours before the start of the auction. Late registration is possible, but timely activation cannot be guaranteed.
4. The auctioneer may reject or block bidders and bids before and during the auction.
5. The auctioneer may limit the maximum bid amount for bidders and make the acceptance of bids subject to the provision of a security in advance.
6. Live bids submitted are binding and cannot be withdrawn.
7. Bids may only be submitted in the specified increments.
8. Delays may occur during transmission via the internet, and bids may not be received by the auctioneer until the knockdown. Such bids may not be considered. Bids from other bidders may be received before yours, so that your bid will not be considered. In this case, please note the display regarding your connection quality and the acceptance of your bid.
9. For live bidding you need a fast internet connection (latency and bandwidth) with sufficient data volume and a compatible web browser. JavaScript and cookies must be enabled in your browser.
10. No guarantee can be given that the functionality of live bidding will be available without restriction. (e.g. malfunctions in data centre, internet connection or end device).
11. Despite the utmost care, errors may occur in the recording and transmission of hammer prices by the auction house. The hammer prices recorded and logged in the auction room are binding. It is therefore possible that the hammer prices transmitted for live bidding may be corrected.
12. By using the live bidding, you agree that your IP address, registrations and cancellations, bids placed and address details will be logged and stored. In addition, we collect data about the end device and the connection quality (e.g. platform used, browser version, transmission time, successful transmission, any errors during transmission) to ensure the quality of the bid and to preserve evidence in the event of a dispute. This information is used exclusively to conduct the auction and to ensure the quality of the service provided. The data will not be passed on or used for any other purpose. The personal data will be deleted or completely anonymised at the end of the auction process or after expiry of the statutory retention periods.
