Five technical motorcycle publications from the 1950s: 1) "Betriebsanleitung und Reparaturanleitung für das Motorrad EMW R 35/3", VEB Automobilfabrik EMW Eisenach, with detailed technical drawings and maintenance instructions, 2) "Mein Motorrad und Motorroller", illustrated handbook on motorcycle and motor scooter mechanics, 3) "Krafträder" from the Kraftfahrtechnische Schriftenreihe, Fachbuchverlag Leipzig, 4) "Zweitakt-Fahrzeugmotoren" by Michael Heise from the same series, 5) "Motorradsportler", depicting motorcycle racing. Good condition commensurate with age.
The EMW R 35/3 was produced from 1952 at the VEB Automobilfabrik Eisenach – the former BMW plant which continued as Eisenacher Motorenwerk (EMW) after nationalisation. The Kraftfahrtechnische Schriftenreihe published by Fachbuchverlag Leipzig was the authoritative technical literature on motor vehicles in East Germany. This collection documents East German motorcycle culture of the 1950s.
