The artillery training vessel "Drache" was a training ship built in 1908 at the Germaniawerft in Kiel for the Imperial German Navy, with a crew of 68. It served in various capacities until 1945 and was sunk during an air raid on Pillau on 18 April 1945. The cap tally "Grossherzogin Elisabeth" refers to the training ship of the same name. The combination of Imperial Navy and Kriegsmarine cap tallies suggests a long naval career spanning multiple eras. The collection of over 60 buttons from various manufacturers documents the diversity of naval uniform insignia.
