Ernst Bohne Söhne – Equestrian Figurine “Le Prince Eugène”

Porcelain, marked on the bottom, This finely painted porcelain figure depicts a proud Field Marshal of the Holy Roman Empire and the Austrian Habsburg Monarchy in the 17th / 18th century, in military uniform on a rearing horse. The figure is detailed in design and vividly painted in red, green, and gold. The dynamic posture of the horse emphasizes the heroic character of the depiction. Base inscription: "LE PRINCE EUGENE" in relief lettering on the front, good condition appropriate for age, 16,5 x 12 x 5,5 cm (HxWxD)

360-degree photo on our website. Ernst Bohne Söhne was known for character figures. Prince Eugene was a significant Austrian military commander of the Baroque period (incl. the Turkish Wars, War of the Spanish Succession).
