This richly designed reservist whistle of the Artillery Regiment No. 24 from Güstrow (period of service 1905-1907) is a typical memento of the military service period in the German Empire, complete with porcelain head, pimple hood as a lid and a long hazelnut tube with elaborate horn carvings. Such souvenir pipes are coveted collector's items of military history.
