two letters of thanks with handwritten signatures from Duke Carl Wilhelm Ferdinand of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel (1735-1806) to Captain von Kühn in Berlin, one letter from the Duke thanks Captain Kühn for notifying him of his promotion to "Staabs-Capitain" in the Field Artillery Corps, dated Brunswick, March 30, 1790, the other letter from the Duke thanks Captain Kühn for notifying him of his promotion to Major in the same Corps, dated Minden, September 26, 1797, each half-page written, each approx. 23 x 18.5 cm (HxW)
