Two Bayonets from World War I & II – Bayonet 98/05 with Sawback and Foreign Bayonet

A historical set of two standard bayonets from the two World Wars. 1)Bayonet 98/05 with Sawback (“Butcher Blade”), World War I: A massive bayonet for the German Gewehr 98, in the rarer sawback version issued to engineers and NCOs.Manufacturer's brand on the ricasso Heinrich Kaufmann & Söhne Indiawerk Solingen. Complete with original steel scabbard and leather frog. The scabbard has been repainted. Length 50 cm, blade length 36.5 cm. 2) Foreign Bayonet, World War II: A matching-number example from arsenal stock, manufacturer’s mark illegible, with original steel scabbard. Likely of Bulgarian or Austrian origin. Length 38 cm, blade length 25 cm. Both pieces in good age-appropriate, service-used condition with authentic patina.
