Corps Pommerania Greifswald, founded in 1829, is one of the oldest German student corps. As part of the Kösener Senioren-Convents-Verband (KSCV), it upholds the traditions of academic fencing, lifelong brotherhood, and personal honor. The red griffin in the coat of arms alludes to the historical Duchy of Pomerania and the city of Greifswald. The Christmas Kneipe (“Weihnachtskneipe”) is a ceremonial festive gathering held during Advent – often accompanied by speeches, toasts, and symbolic rituals.
