Silver, partly gilt, eight-pointed cross with cobalt blue enameled arms, medallion with white border and inscription “MERENTI,” gilt laurel wreath on silver radiant background between the arms, reverse stamped “GH” and “900” for Gebrüder Hemmerle, with applied crossed swords for military merit, original ribbon with signs of wear, housed in matching blue case with velvet inlay and cream-colored silk lining, lid marked “Bayr. M. V. O. 4. Kl.”, overall very well preserved with minor signs of age on the case, 4.8 x 4.0 cm (HxW), case: 2.3 x 6.2 x 7.4 cm (HxWxD)
