E." und bezeichnet "Fec.", auf Plinthe nochmals monogrammiert und datiert 1910, das skulpturale Werk Auguste Rodins hatte seit Studienzeit einen stark prägenden Einfluss auf das eigene künstlerische Schaffen Edzards, während seiner Zeit in Paris hat er sich intensiv mit den bewegten, teils zerrissenen und deformierten figuralen Findungen Rodins auseinandergesetzt und so liegt die Vermutung nahe, dass dieses ganz im Sinne Rodins gestaltete Männerhaupt eine skulpturale Hommage an den französischen Meister darstellt, sehr guter Zustand, Patina punktuell minimal bestoßen, H. 32 cm
